Onyx Repair Innovations and BodyNet Join Forces

Onyx Repair Innovations and BodyNet have announced that they are coming together to form a single business, combining their expertise to deliver a connected suite of repair and estimating systems for
bodyshops.

The move follows Activate Group’s acquisition of Avant Group, which has brought the BodyNet and Onyx businesses together under one ownership structure. Onyx Repair Innovations is a family of well-established products – including Onyx, BodyNet, AutoPad, and Connect MI – offering a suite of connected tools built around the needs of modern repairers.

A combined product suite for estimating & repair management

At the heart of the new Onyx product suite are three systems that work seamlessly together to give repairers complete control of estimating, repair management and reporting.

AI-Enhanced Vehicle Estimating Software

For estimating, the AutoPad system brings a number of different options together to identify and estimate damage – from a web-based mobile inspection platform to AI tools that help automate the estimation process.

These technologies make it easier for repairers to identify additional retail opportunities, capture more work and increase revenue, as well as offering protection against additional damage claims.

Cloud-Based Bodyshop Management System

The Onyx bodyshop management system combines the proven reliability of BodyNet with Onyx’s flexible, cloud-based technology to create a feature-rich solution built on the latest platforms. It offers full mobile usability, allowing repairers and managers to access key functions anywhere in the workshop.

Intuitive, task-driven automations simplify daily processes, allocating jobs, triggering updates and keeping teams informed throughout every repair. The system also integrates with Onyx’s Technician and Driver Apps, enabling efficient communication and smooth handovers across the repair process.

Fully-Integrated Repair Insights Platform

Bringing all data together is Connect MI, Onyx’s intelligent reporting platform, which provides a single view of estimating and repair performance. This insight helps repairers identify trends, highlight missed opportunities and drive greater efficiency and profitability.

“Bringing Onyx and BodyNet together allows us to offer a complete, connected suite of systems that truly supports how bodyshops work today.

Both brands are trusted and valued across the repair community, and by combining their strengths, we’re creating a modern, flexible solution that gives managers the insight, control and connectivity they need to run efficiently and profitably.”

Pete Thompson, Managing Director, Onyx Repair Innovations

By uniting proven systems under the Onyx name, Activate Group is creating a future-ready suite of products that connects estimating, repair management and data, supporting bodyshops of all sizes to work smarter and grow profitability.

Further details about the product suite and launch plans will be shared in the coming months.
